Jockey Adam Hyeronimus has had insult added to injury with stewards handing him a six-meeting suspension for his ride in a race he lost on protest.
Hyeronimus' mount Audacious Choice was first past the post in the Hyland Racing Colours Plate (1600m) at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, but stewards decided interference caused to Cross Stitch at the home turn was enough to uphold a protest by Glyn Schofield.
Hyeronimus pleaded guilty to shifting out on the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained filly and received a six-meeting stint on the sidelines.
His suspension starts on October 1 and he is free to resume riding on October 13.
