Yankee Rose wins barrier trial

Yankee Rose has shown she is back on track for her next Group One assignment with a barrier trial win at Warwick Farm.

The David Vandyke-trained filly ran in Friday's 1200m-heat without the blinkers she wore when sixth in the Golden Rose last Saturday week.

She was pushed out to the line in by Blake Shinn who rides her in the Flight Stakes on October 1, replacing Zac Purton who has commitments in Hong Kong.
