Star jockey Brenton Avdulla will miss the Manikato Stakes meeting on Cox Plate eve but will be free to ride in the weight-for-age championship after being suspended for careless riding.
Avdulla was given a four-meeting suspension for his winning ride aboard Kentucky Miss in the last race at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Stewards found that Kentucky Miss shifted in on Hand Fast at the 150m mark, causing interference to that runner.
Avdulla is free to resume riding on Cox Plate day when he will ride the Pat Webster-trained Happy Clapper if the horse gains a start in the $3 million feature at Moonee Valley on October 22.
He starts his supension on Sunday, the day after he is booked to ride Tally in the Caulfield Cup.
