The Chris Waller-trained Mackintosh remains the TAB's $5.50 equal favourite for the Group One Railway Stakes in Perth despite drawing a wide barrier.

Mackintosh came up with barrier 16 in the field of 16 plus three emergencies for Saturday's 1600m-race while the other equal favourite, Perfect Reflection, drew barrier two.

Last year's winner, Mackintosh's stablemate Good Project, is a $14 chance and will jump from gate seven.

Damien Oliver will ride Mackintosh at 54kg while Hugh Bowman will be aboard Good Project who carries one kilogram more.

Kawi, a multiple Group One winner in New Zealand, is also at $14 but has to carry top weight of 58.5kg.
