Jockey Jame Orman's confidence was repaid when two-year-old filly Cellargirl joined the Magic Millions 2YO Classic trail at Eagle Farm.
Cellargirl ($15) overcame difficulties in the straight to beat Bring It Home Pop ($20) by a long neck with Pins For Arrows ($16) 1-1/4 lengths in third on Saturday.
Orman rode Cellargirl in an unofficial jump-out and told trainer Kelly Schweida she would be hard to beat at her first race start.
"She is the best two-year-old I have ridden this season. I have ridden a few but I really like her," Orman said.
Cellargirl, who is a half sister to stakes winner Cellarman, cost $90,000 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sales.
She is raced by a syndicate of women and is eligible for $500,000 in bonus payments for Classic horses.
Schweida said Cellargirl would press on to the Magic Millions and had improvement in her.
