Injured Queanbeyan trackwork rider James Gibbs is being transferred to a Sydney hospital after suffering a neck injury in a fall.
Gibbs lost consciousness after Thursday' morning's accident and had no feeling in his limbs at the time.
Later in the day, Racing NSW's Maurice Logue said Dr David Duckworth reported Gibbs had regained sensation in his arms and legs and had some movement in hands and feet.
He was to be taken to Prince Of Wales hospital under the care of a spinal surgeon where he will be assessed to determine whether he needs surgery.
