Jockey Rory Hutchings has been suspended for 14 meetings over his involvement in a fall which led to a horse being euthanised at Hawkesbury.
Hutchings was slapped with the careless riding ban for crossing on Mount Taishan and causing interference to Blaike McDougall's mount Dragon's Magic in the opening stages of a race at Hawkesbury on November 18.
Dragon's Magic fell and broke her shoulder before being taken to a veterinary hospital where she was euthanised.
McDougall suffered an ankle injury and was stood down from the rest of the meeting.
Hutchings, who became a senior rider in June, will begin his suspension on Sunday and can return to competitive riding on New Year's Eve.
