Jockeys OK after Kilcoy fall

All riders involved in a three-horse fall at Kilcoy have come through the incident without serious injuries.

The horses came down entering the straight for the first time in the 1900m-Christmas Cup, the feature race on a dual code gallops-harness meeting on Saturday at the track 80km north-west of Brisbane.

All three were taken to hospital with Corey Bayliss back riding in country Queensland on Sunday.

Racing Queensland said Victorian jockey Jordan Mallyon had facial lacerations while Gary Geran left hospital on Sunday morning after being monitored for concussion overnight.

Mallyon's mount The Golden Big suffered a catastrophic leg inury and was euthanised.
