Crystal Dreamer has risen to every challenge so far this campaign and will drop back in distance in a bid to continue his winning streak at Moonee Valley.

The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained sprinter is set to chase his fourth-straight win for the campaign in Saturday's Schweppes Indian Tonic Handicap.

He is coming back to 1000m after getting home for a hard-fought win over 1200m at Caulfield last Saturday week.

"We're going back to the 1000 where they go a bit quicker and he's got a better turn of foot when it's 1000 metres," Zahra said.

"They just go a bit harder for him and he can drop the bit a touch. He seemed to overdo it a bit at the 1200."

Zahra said it took Crystal Dreamer a couple of days to get over his latest run and they haven't had to do a lot with him between races.

There were fears early on that Crystal Dreamer might not even get to the races because of sesamoiditis, but connections have taken their time with him and he has now won six of his 12 starts.

And he is the $4.40 favourite to win another on Saturday.

"He's progressing nicely and hasn't done much wrong," Zahra said.

"Every time we've raised the bar he's cleared it. And at the end of the day, he's a winner."

Andrew Mallyonis back from a Warrnambool suspension to continue his association with Crystal Dreamer, having won on him four times from five rides.

"He's riding probably as good as anyone at the moment," Zahra said.

"His strike rate is good. His strike rate is good for us and he's working hard with Godolphin.

"When they're riding well you've got to put them on and he's done nothing wrong with this horse."

The stable also has Sword Of Justice chasing back-to-back city wins on Saturday in the Schweppervescence Handicap while Magna Rossa will jump from a wide gate in the Jacob Schweppe Handicap.

Rock 'N' Gold backs up in the Sandwich Chefs Handicap (1200m) after running fourth over 1000m down the straight at Flemington last Saturday and Zahra believes the run indicated he was looking for 1200m.

"He's drawn well. He's well weighted. He should get the run of the race and has backed up before and performed well. So there's absolutely no excuses for him on Saturday," he said.
