Star sprinter Chautauqua has put in an eye-catching effort to run third behind his Hawkes Racing-trained stablemate Star Turn in a barrier trial at Rosehill.
Recognised as the world's highest-rated sprinter, Chautauqua is being prepared for a Group One autumn campaign after a lacklustre spring.
The grey gelding worked to the line strongly in his 900m trial not long after the world's best turf horse Winx also finished third in her heat on Tuesday.
