Winx on top of the world

Friday 11 May 2018, 7:33am

Winx is officially the best horse in the world with her Queen Elizabeth Stakes win improving her rating to 130, one point clear of American Gun Runner.

In previous rankings, Winx has had to share the top place with dirt specialists Arrogate and then Gun Runner, but has been the best horse on turf for the past two years.

This year Winx has had three starts, all at Group One level, and her Queen Elizabeth win took her record to 18 at the highest level and her winning streak to 25.

Doncaster Mile winner Happy Clapper and three-year-old Trapeze Artist, winner of the TJ Smith and All Aged Stakes, are sixth equal on 123.
