Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor is keen to let Lingfield Derby Trial winner Best Solution take his chance in the premier Classic at Epsom.
Pat Cosgrave bided his time in Saturday's race until the three-furlong (600m) marker and the colt swept clear to record an easy 3-1/4 length victory over Glencadam Glory.
Best Solution had struggled on the dirt in Dubai over the winter and was held back from contesting the UAE Derby.
His trainer is keen to let him take his chance at Epsom on June 3 with Best Solution cut by Coral to 16-1 from 40-1.
"He is very nice. He didn't handle the dirt. He ran on it twice and we came back straight from Dubai as we did not want to run him in the UAE Derby," bin Suroor said.
"This was the plan, to run in the Derby Trial, and he has come through this well.
"He is in the English and Irish Derbys. We will have to talk to Sheikh Mohammed and he will make the decision.
"He has been working in the morning showing his trip is a mile-and- a-half (2400m). I think the ground won't make any difference to where he goes. More than likely he will be running in the English Derby.
"We also have Benbatl, who runs in the Dante (at York on Thursday)."
The big disappointment of the race was the Aidan O'Brien-trained Sir John Lavery, who was always towards the rear and failed to pick up for Ryan Moore.
