Dream result for Lees filly at Rosehill

Saturday 3 June 2017, 2:58pm

Kris Lees has earmarked promising three-year-old Just Dreaming for higher honours next season after a hard-fought Rosehill win.

Coming off a promising run in the Scone Guineas, Just Dreaming raced on the speed for apprentice Rachel King before taking out the McGrath Agents Handicap on Saturday.

"I think we'll see the best of her late spring, possibly next autumn," Lees said.

Starting favourite at $5, Just Dreaming beat Uptown Lad ($19) by a half length with Walk The Streets ($5.50) a half head away third.

"Rachel kept just enough in the tank," Lees said.

"It was a really brave effort in the finish.

"She's come out of a strong race, she bounced out if it really well. We came here thinking she'd run really well."
