Berry to ride for John Moore in Hong Kong

Sydney jockey Tommy Berry will join trainer John Moore in Hong Kong as stable rider in the new season.

Berry has been successful in short stints in Hong Kong with Moore, recording seven Group One wins for the trainer including four on the recently retired Designs On Rome.

"I am very pleased to announce that I have been granted a contract by @HKJC_Racing to be stable rider for John Moore next season #newchapter," Berry announced on Twitter on Friday.

Berry has two Group One rides for premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller at Doomben on Saturday.

He will be aboard Black On Gold in the Queensland Derby and Good Project in the Stradbroke Handicap and rides the Anthony and Edward Cummings-trained Top Of My List in the Group Two Brisbane Cup.
