Waller reveals plans for Queensland stable

Saturday 10 June 2017, 1:06pm

Premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller has confirmed he is likely to set-up a Queensland stable.

Waller was in Brisbane on Saturday to saddle Religify to win at Doomben.

He said he was keen to have a larger presence in Queensland but could not confirm where his Queensland stables would be based.

"We want to take advantage of the warmer weather and have a large impact on the Magic Millions carnival as well as the winter carnival," Waller said.

"I don't know where I will be based up here but I should know by the end of the month."

It is understood the Gold Coast could be the priority for Waller.

Religify pushed Waller-trained runners past $24 million in prize money for the season with his win in the Wayne Wilson.
