Blake Shinn was back in the winners circle at Arlington Park on Friday.
Shinn piloted the Wayne Catalano-trained Straight Up Smarty to a 3 3/4-length victory in a one mile Allowance race on turf for fillies and mares.
It is the second winner for Shinn during his six week stint. His first, Brisson, was also trained by Catalano, a former jockey and winner of three Breeders' Cup races as a trainer.
Shinn finished third in the opening race aboard the Blanca Candelas-trained Ready To Fight but was unplaced on his other four rides.
