Frankie Dettori to miss more G1 meetings

Tuesday 27 June 2017, 12:10pm

Frankie Dettori will not be back in action until the week of the July Festival at Newmarket at the earliest, his manager Peter Burrell says.

Dettori injured his arm in a parade ring fall at Yarmouth on June 13.

He rode in the French Oaks five days later but missed last week's Royal Ascot meeting at which he would have ridden Gold Cup winner Big Orange and American filly Lady Aurelia, winner of the King's Stand Stakes.

Dettori will now miss the ride on Cracksman in Saturday's Irish Derby at the Curragh and will also be sidelined for the Coral-Eclipse meeting at Sandown the following weekend.

"I'm afraid he won't be back until July week-meeting at Newmarket at the earliest," Burrell said.
