The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Cismontane sealed the final position in the 24-horse field with his victory in Saturday's Lexus Stakes.
The Mike Moroney-trained Vengeur Masque finished second in the Lexus and was just outside the field for the second year running.
Darren Weir, who won the Cup with Prince Of Penzance in 2015, has Big Duke, Humidor and Amelie's Star while Irish trainer Willie Mullins also has three runners including 2015 runner-up Max Dynamite who is joined by Wicklow Brave and Thomas Hobson.
