Embellish to stand at Cambridge Stud

Wednesday 10 January 2018, 9:15am

New Zealand Group One winning-colt Embellish will stand at Cambridge Stud when he finishes his racing career.

Te Akau Racing principal David Ellis said the new owners of the famous stud, Brendan and Jo Lindsay, had bought a 50 per cent share in the 2000 Guineas winner.

"Brendan and Jo have purchased a 50 per cent share in our striking colt Embellish and will race him in partnership with his current owners," Ellis said.

"Once his racing career is concluded, he will commence stud duties at Cambridge Stud, the very first Group One-winning son of Savabeel to do so."

Ellis said Embellish would have his next start in the $1 million Karaka Mile at Ellerslie on January 27.
