Tiffani Brooker will add another highlight to her career as the only Queensland apprentice to ride at the rich Magic Millions day at the Gold Coast.
Brisbane's reigning premier junior rider, Brooker will be one of only two apprentices at the meeting with Melbourne's Ben Thompson to ride Ozi Choice in the Magic Millions Cup.
Brooker has been rewarded for her hard work for trainer David Vandyke with the ride on Soul Secrets in the Magic Millions Maiden.
Soul Secrets has been placed at all four of her starts and was a recent trial winner at Caloundra.
"It is obviously great for David to give me a ride on such a big day," Brooker said.
Brooker took another step towards a career milestone of 200 winners when she won on the Vandyke-trained Emsie Is A Star at Doomben on Wednesday.
It was her 197th overall winner and her 70th in the city with several months left of her apprenticeship.
Brooker has ridden 29 winners this season including 12 in the metropolitan area to again be leading apprentice.
Champion jockey Damian Browne has been working with Brooker on her riding style and he believes she can go a long way as a jockey.
