A lacklustre workout by Norzita on Saturday morning has prompted her withdrawal from the Thousand Guineas, causing a reshuffle of markets.
The Bart Cummings-trained filly was promoted to favouritism for Wednesday's feature at Caulfield following her win in the Group One Flight Stakes at Randwick.
Stable foreman James Cummings said the filly showed she had had enough and it was decided to abort the Melbourne mission.
"She was flat this morning and I think the owners have made the right decision," Cummings said.
"She has had enough and deserves a break. To win a Group One race at her sixth start in her first preparation was a great effort."
Commanding Jewel, a half-sister to last year's winner, the unbeaten Atlantic Jewel, is the new TAB favourite at $5.50 ahead of Molto Bene and Love For Ransom, both at $6.
Norzita, who races in Dato Tan Chin Nam's famous black and white checks, gave Bart Cummings his 265th Group One winner with her Flight Stakes victory.
