Hugh Bowman has declared Winx as good as ever ahead of her attempt at a record 26 consecutive wins in the race named in her honour at Randwick.
Bowman gave the champion a leisurely work-out at Rosehill on Thursday and reaffirmed the mare was on song for Saturday's Group One Wnx stakes (1400m).
Although she has just turned seven, Bowman says Winx is showing no signs of having had enough racing.
"She feels as good as she ever has," Bowman said.
"She seems more mature mentally and has come back in great order.
"Everything suggests she is a happy individual and I can't wait for the race."
If Winx wins on Saturday, she will pass the unbeaten Black Caviar's Australian record of 25-straight wins and claim her 19th Group One victory.
