Moana Jewel has qualified for the Provincial Championship final a week after her luckless first attempt.
The mare beat one runner home in the qualifying heat at Newcastle last Saturday after a slow start and a traffic jam.
Trainer Tracey Bartley decided to back her up at Hawkesbury on Saturday and she got the job done under Jeff Penza, beating Great Danger and Munich.
"It's very nice," Bartley said.
"I was confident she could bounce off the other day.
"And what a ride. She had nowhere to go again but Jeff got her out and she won well.
"It's great for our stable and for our owners."
The Bartley-trained Joigny finished fourth in the Newcastle heat and was named an emergency for the final but has suffered an injury which needs surgery.
Great Danger, who jumped from barrier 12, is trained by Kris Lees while Munich is prepared by Jason and Lucy Attard.
"If he draws a gate he wins," Great Danger's jockey Sam Clenton said.
"I'm sure he will be competitive in the final."
Lucy Attard only recently joined her husband in a partnership and was thrilled to get a runner in the $500,000 final on April 11.
"We're very happy," she said.
"The soft going was a benefit today and we have got into the final so we'll see what happens there."
The next qualifying heat is at Gosford on Saturday.
