Improving filly Queen Sweeper continued a family tradition and revived memories of one of Queensland's best-known owner-breeders when she won at Doomben.
Queen Sweeper ($5.50) finished strongly in the straight to beat Real Fine Wine ($7) by three-quarters of a length in the XXXX Dry 2YO (1110m).
The favourite One Shy Ruby ($4.20) was third a short neck back after sharing the lead to the 200m.
Queen Sweeper is by first-season sire Rich Enuff out of the broodmare Zilzie who has been a great producer for the Cutts family.
Zilzie was raced by the late Ross Cutts and his wife Judy who has continued to run their Showtime Breeding operation since his death in October.
Their best horses included the multiple Group One winner and top sire Show A Heart.
As a broodmare Zilzie has produced six winners including the smart Banda Spice and Coral Bay.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick has hopes Queen Sweeper will become the best of Zilzie's offspring.
"Queen Sweeper had taken time to mature but is getting better with racing. At her previous start she knocked up near the line but she was fitter today," Kendrick said.
