Jockey Fred Kersley has been suspended for the second time in as many city meetings for breaching whip rules.
Kersley was suspended for six meetings and fined $300 for using the whip on 10 occasions before the 100m aboard third-placed Stretto in last Saturday's Silver Bowl Final at Flemington, five times more than allowed under the rules.
That ban is due to commence after Kersley rides at Caulfield on Saturday.
He has another seven-meeting penalty to serve following that after being suspended again for a whip infringement aboard Converging in a 2400m race at Sandown on Wednesday.
The back-to-back suspensions will keep Kersley out of race riding until July 25.
The 20-year-old is booked for two rides at Caulfield on Saturday, Trench Warfare and Declares War, for Ballarat trainer Matt Cumani.
