Frankel entire Significance has continued his summer form surge and added valuable black-type to his pedigree with a dominant display in the Christmas Cup at Randwick.
Bred to southern hemisphere time, Significance sold for $1.1 million at the 2018 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale where he was purchased by Domeland.
Clare Cunningham took over his training at the start of his current campaign and while he has been a work in progress, Cunningham now has him flying.
After a breakthrough city win at Rosehill last week, Significance dictated from the front to add Saturday's Listed 2400 metre feature to his CV.
"It's obviously more significant to the ownership group, they're the ones that invested so much money and any black type is great for the stable," Cunningham said.
"We started at Goulburn this preparation so we've come a long way from Goulburn to a black-type race within six starts. He's really amazed me.
"That's the beauty of a stayer I suppose. I love training stayers because you just can't rule them out until you give them their chance."
Cunningham will see how Significance comes through Saturday's race before locking in a plan but says the owners are keen to progress to the Group Three Summer Cup (2000m) at Randwick on Boxing Day.
Significance ($4.20) scored by a half length over He Runs Away ($7.50) with Purrfect Deal ($4.20) third.
Favourite Stockman finished fifth.
Fellow trainer Angela Davies has her eyes on the Magic Millions carnival at the Gold Coast for Salina Dreaming after she returned with a narrow but convincing win in the Easternbuilt Handicap (1100m).
"I've always had a good opinion of this filly," Davies said.
"We're hoping she will stretch to 1300 and 1400 metres and she might head to the Magic Millions for the fillies and mares race."
Salina Dreaming ($7.50) wore down leader The Face ($4.40 fav) to score by a short neck with Redoute's Image ($13) doing her best work late another neck away.
