Brisbane three-year-old Whiskey Allround will head to Melbourne to begin his spring campaign after a low-grade infection ruled him out of Saturday's San Domenico Stakes.
Trainer Tony Gollan scratched Whiskey Allround from the Rosehill meeting in Sydney because a blood count taken from the three-year-old on Friday showed an elevated white cell count.
As a precautionary measure, Gollan had Whiskey Allround scoped which revealed a minor throat infection.
"He's not running a temperature and hasn't left a grain of feed so giving him a few days off won't set us back much," Gollan said.
The trainer has named the Group Two Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on September 7 as the starting point for Whiskey Allround's spring campaign.
Meanwhile Tim Clark will replace Chris Munce as the rider of Sizzling when the four-year-old resumes in the Show County Quality (1200m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday week.
Munce has ridden Sizzling in all but one of his 17 starts.
The only other jockey to ride Sizzling was Craig Williams who was aboard the colt when he finished second in the Magic Millions Guineas at the Gold Coast in January while Munce was undergoing treatment for throat cancer.
Trainer Kelso Wood will have three runners in the Show County.
Apart from Sizzling, Wood will start Someday and Belltone, the past two winners of the Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast.
Wood has nominated the Group One Epsom Handicap (1600m) at Randwick on October 5 as the main goal in Sydney for the trio.
