Gai Waterhouse has lost her appeal against two separate fines over her failure to report to stewards on the condition of More Joyous.
Waterhouse was fined $5000 for not informing stewards More Joyous had swelling and tenderness in her neck area in the lead up to the All Aged Stakes in April.
The mare finished second last, prompting her owner John Singleton to publicly end his racing partnership with the Randwick trainer.
Stewards also fined Waterhouse $2000 for failing to advise them More Joyous had been lame in the lead-up to the Queen Of The Turf Stakes in which she was an unlucky fifth.
The Racing NSW Appeal Panel agreed with stewards that Waterhouse had breached the rules of racing by failing to notify officials of a condition which could affect the performance of a horse in a race.
The panel also advised Waterhouse they would seriously consider increasing the penalties if she decided to lodge a further appeal.
