The top two horses in Caulfield Cup betting have drawn wide at Wednesday's barrier draw for the Group One race.
Early favourite Hawkspur came up with gate 16 while overseas raider Dandino, striving to give local jockey Craig Williams his third successive Caulfield Cup victory, drew 19.
It was a mixed result for Hawkspur's trainer Chris Waller who will start a quartet of runners.
The favourite's stablemate Moriarty also drew wide in 18 while Kelinni will start from the rails and Australian Oaks winner Royal Descent from barrier three.
Fawkner, the only runner for owner Lloyd Williams, has gate 12 while Dear Demi will have to overcome the outside alley in 22.
A field of 18 plus four emergencies has been declared for Saturday's feature with third reserve Ibicenco an early scratching.
