While the Magic Millions Classic favourite puts her talent on show in Brisbane on Saturday there will be other Gold Coast hopefuls trying to stake a claim at Flemington.
Debut Flemington winner Oakleigh Girl is the favourite for next month's $2 million juvenile race and she steps out for the second time in Saturday's Calaway Gal Stakes at Doomben.
In the Leadwest Plate at Flemington, I Am The General will try to cement his place in the Gold Coast feature after his debut third to Sheer Style in the Clockwise Classic at Ballarat.
He is second favourite behind another colt eligible for the Magic Millions in debutant Chivalry.
The Mark Kavanagh-trained Chivalry opened at $4.20 for the Flemington race with TAB fixed odds but was at $2 on Thursday.
"I'm surprised he's $2 fixed odds. He has never trialled in public and he's at $2 fixed odds. I don't know how they do that," Kavanagh said.
Kavanagh said it was a "wait and see" situation with Chivalry depending on how the son of Street Cry performs on Saturday.
"Everything is under consideration. There's a possibility (he could go to the Magic Millions) but Victorians have got a poor record in that race.
"It's very hard to get a horse from Victoria and run it around the tight Gold Coast track if you haven't actually been trained that way."
Trainer Shane Nichols wants to see I Am The General finishing in the top two on Saturday to be a realistic Magic Millions contender.
"The way he worked on Tuesday morning and the way he has come through the gallop, he's in pretty good nick to be going there and running well," Nichols said.
David Hayes has two unraced youngsters stepping out including the Magic Millions-nominated La Cicciolina.
