Impressive three-year-old winner King Halo is the latest promising Queensland galloper to be sold to race in Hong Kong.

King Halo scored a stylish win at his second start at Doomben last Wednesday.

Trainer Liam Birchley confirmed the three year old had been snapped up by Hong Kong buyers for an undisclosed six figure sum in a private deal.

"Provided he passes the vet's test he will be off to Hong Kong," Birchley said.

"I obviously didn't want to lose him but the way prize money is in Brisbane at the moment you really have to take these offers.

"It is sad but that is the way things will remain here until they do something about prize money. We all have to pay our bills."

It is understood at least five Brisbane trained horses have recently been the subject of offers from Hong Kong owners including Saturday's two-year-old winner Looks Like The Cat.

Meanwhile, Queensland stewards have adjourned an inquiry into NSW apprentice Rachel Murray's ride on Youthful King in the Autism Brisbane Hcp (1200m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Chief steward Daniel Aurisch said his panel would be asking about her tactics in the final 500m of the race in which the horse finished eighth.

The inquiry was opened on Saturday night but adjourned to allow trainer Jeremy Sylvester to catch a plane home to Cessnock in NSW.

Aurisch said stewards would also be asking Slyvester and Murray about her ride on the unplaced Uno Five in the Club Partners Handicap.
