Part one of Guy Walter's autumn assault plans has been completed with Appearance's winning return in the Expressway Stakes.
The trainer is now looking at all options for Streama to make an identical start to her campaign with the mare looking likely to stay in Sydney rather than go to Melbourne for the Lightning Stakes.
Saturday's Group One sprint at Flemington would be a new experience for Streama who has never raced on the straight course or over 1000 metres.
"We will make a decision about the Lightning on Monday but at the moment I think she might be better off staying in Sydney," Walter said.
"There's the Breeders' Classic at Rosehill on the same day or we may wait and run her in the Millie Fox.
"There are many options."
Walter said Appearance had come through Saturday's Expressway in good order and was also likely to stay in Sydney to run in the Apollo Stakes before the Chipping Norton.
"We paid up for the Newmarket in Melbourne but I'm leaning to the Apollo next," he said.
"The Newmarket is a month away and she is up and running now."
The trainer also has Toydini ready to resume with the three on a course to the Doncaster Mile on April 12.
As much as he would like to keep the three apart over the next couple of months, Walter knows that is not possible.
"Toydini will start off in the Group Three Southern Cross Stakes on the 22nd of February," he said.
"His next start will be the Group One Canterbury Stakes and that might be where Streama goes too on the way to the George Ryder and the Doncaster.
"But Toydini has to prove himself yet."
Streama and Toydini filled the minor places in the Epsom Handicap behind Boban with Toydini snaring his biggest win at his next start in the Group Two Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley.
Appearance and Streama have each won three Group One races with Streama stepping up to weight-for-age to take out the George Main Stakes in the spring.
