A New Zealand racing official will take the reins at the Wyong Race Club.
David Jewell will leave his position at New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing to become the chief executive of the NSW Central Coast club.
His appointment was confirmed on Friday by John Rouse, the temporary administrator of club.
After several months operating without a chief executive, Wyong was placed in administration last week when Racing NSW stood down the club's board.
Experienced curator Dale Jeffs will take over as Wyong's acting racecourse manager.
Jeffs is a former Warwick Farm racecourse manager.
