Trainer Noel Doyle has no choice but to start promising filly Aimee despite a difficult run of barriers continuing at Eagle Farm.
For the third time from as many career starts, Aimee has drawn an outside alley in the Heartkids Handicap (1300m) on Saturday where she will be ridden by experienced jockey Jason Taylor.
Doyle said he had to run Aimee, who won over 1100m at Doomben last Saturday, because of the way the programming fell.
"Next week's two-year-old is an 1000-metre race and then the week after is at 1350 metres.
"I want to test her at 1350 metres so if she doesn't run on Saturday it would mean going three weeks without a run into a 1350-metre race," he said.
But Doyle is quietly confident Aimee can take a step up to be a genuine contender for the Group Two BRC Sires (1400m) and Group One JJ Atkins Stakes (1600m) during the winter carnival.
Meanwhile, trainer Len Treloar will use claiming apprentice Geoff Goold on topweight No Problem.
After Saturday, Treloar plans to geld and spell No Problem with a three-year-old campaign in mind.
