Treloar presses on with in-form youngster

Thursday 6 March 2014, 12:47pm

A brilliant track gallop has earned two-year-old No Problem one more start at Doomben before a break from racing.

Trainer Len Treloar had intended to spell No Problem after he finished third to Aimee and Game Of Fame at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.

But No Problem was so bright after the run, Treloar decided to give him a track gallop on Tuesday morning.

"Geoff (race jockey Geoff Goold) got off him and said No Problem had never worked so well," Treloar said.

"It is a bit hard to send him for a spell when he is going like that."

No Problem will run in the Councillors Cup (1350m) with 57kg after Goold's 2kg allowance.

"I have been planning to spell him and geld him for weeks but maybe he knows what is ahead and keeps giving us reasons not to," Treloar said.

No Problem has won two races and been placed twice during a summer campaign for more than $130,000 in prize money.

The favourite for Saturday's race is Jason McLachlan's giant filly Game Of Fame who could earn herself a winter campaign with a win.

McLachlan said Game Of Fame probably should have won her only two starts instead of finishing second in both.

Game Of Fame missed the start at her first run when second at the Sunshine Coast and then ran into trouble before finishing second to Aimee at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.

She is owned by the Slade Bloodstock syndicate which has been having a great run with McLachlan.
