A mare with a family connection to two gallopers who excelled in the wet at Randwick on Saturday is likely to head to Sydney to try to cash in while the tracks are rain-affected.
Trainer Mike Moroney nominated Jemerica for races in Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday and said the four-year-old was probably going to run at Rosehill in a fillies and mares 1100m race.
Jemerica is by Captain Rio and her mother Nishaani is a sister of Parfore, the dam of both Tiger Tees and Terravista who are stars of trainer Joe Pride's stable.
Saturday's dominant Group Three Show County Quality winner Terravista is also by Captain Rio while Group One winner and noted wet tracker Tiger Tees, who won Saturday's Warwick Stakes, is by Dubawi.
Moroney said the recent Sydney weather was behind the decision to look to the Rosehill race.
"She wants a bit of give in the ground," Moroney said.
"Her mother and Parfore, the dam of Tiger Tees and Terravista, are full sisters.
"A little bit of give in the ground does help her."
Jemerica was beaten close to five lengths in the Listed Regal Roller Stakes last start on a dead track after winning her previous start by 2-1/2 lengths at Caulfield the end of last season against her own age and sex.
Moroney is also likely to start Zazparella at the Rosehill meeting.
The trainer won a 2000m race at Randwick on Saturday with Surpass who is among the entries for the Listed Premier's Cup (1800m) at Rosehill.
