Berlutti’s win in race 1 at Sandown on the 27th of August gave BlueBlood Thoroughbreds its 3rd winner from their last 4 runners after Lonnero and Black Revolver gave them a winning double only a week and a half ago on the 16th of August.
The Mick Price trained Berlutti, jumped out of barrier 6 as the equal second favourite behind Shaf and was strong at both ends, leading them up from gate to post to win by 1.25L. The drop back in grade and distance (1200m) certainly played in his favour and he always looked the winner travelling into the straight.
It was the second win for the colt by Not A Single Doubt after previously placing behind Group 3 performer Royal Snitzel, taking his record to 7 starts for 2 wins and 2 placings.
Blueblood Thoroughbreds are currently syndicating a cracking filly by Not A Single Doubt to also be trained by Mick Price. The filly boasts one of the best pedigrees in the stud book featuring Joie Denise, the Dam of Tuesday Joy and Sunday Joy. Visit our website for more information on the filly.
Congratulations to the owners on another win with Berlutti and we look forward to a bright future with him.
