Wednesday 10 September 2014, 5:31pm

A suspension threatens to rule Caulfield Cup-winning jockey Nick Hall out of the Underwood Stakes day program.

Hall was banned for 11 meetings for careless riding aboard Firehouse Rock in the third race at Bendigo on Wednesday.

The jockey is expected to appeal the ban which is due to start after he rides at Flemington on Saturday.

The suspension runs until September 25 with the Underwood Stakes meeting on September 20.

Hall has a strong book of seven rides on Saturday's Makybe Diva Stakes program headed by Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner.

His other mounts include Quezette Stakes winner Sabatini in the Listed Cap D'Antibes Stakes, McNeil Stakes runner-up Nordic Empire in the Danehill Stakes and Charlie Boy in the Bobbie Lewis Quality.
