BlueBlood Thoroughbreds will be saddling up two Saturday city runners on the 13th of September. The first to run will be Berlutti lining up in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington in race 6 (3:25pm). Soon after, Black Revolver will be racing for BlueBlood at Rosehill in race 8 (5:05pm), considering the conditions suit.
Berlutti was impressive in his last start on the 27th of August at Sandown. The colt led the way and raced strongly throughout the whole run, resulting in a win, beating Silent Whisper by 1.25L.
The son of Not A Single Doubt will be heading to Flemington on Saturday in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) worth $200,000 at 3:25pm. He will be jumping out of barrier 3 in a field of 16 with Stephen Baster in the saddle.
Trainer Mick Price commented “it’s going to be a very tough race, with a lot of good form out there, but Berlutti is an honest horse and if he placed I would be wrapped”
Berlutti is fit and sound and should be competitive tomorrow.
Heading to Sydney, Black Revolver has been entered to race on Saturday at Rosehill Gardens in the PJ’S IRISH PUB PARRAMATTA HANDICAP BM80 at 5:05pm, on the condition that the track might get back to dead or the better side of slow.
“I am confident it will get back to slow and hopefully for our sake even into dead. I would be reluctant to run him on a slow track but I guess we do need to run on a dead track.” Waller stated.
He has drawn well in barrier 6 with Corey Brown to ride. The gelding should get a nice ride from the good draw and he should be very competitive, considering the weather holds up for him.
Black Revolver won his first Saturday race on the 16th of August at Rosehill, where he sprinted down the straight coming from a wide barrier (10), scoring an easy win beating stable mate The Alfonso by 1.25L. We hope to see the same competitiveness on Saturday.
