The blue blooded stallion in Shaft sired 5 winners on the weekend including the Doomben winner Shapin Lady and the exciting Son Senoras who won easily win Glenn Boss on board at Cranbourne.

Trainer Clinton McDonald has a high opinion of the daughter of Shaft saying that “she is a quality race mare capable of winning black type in the future. She has a high cruising speed”.

The Silver Slipper Stakes-Gr.2 winner Shaft (Flying Spur-Traceable by Rahy) now stands at Hardwick Stud on a fee of $3,300. The fastest son of Flying Spur, Shaft’s dam is a half-sister to Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy.  His dam sire is Rahy, the international champion racehorse and sire.

Peter Holloway, Stud Manager at Hardwicke has high praise of the Shaft, saying “he is great to handle, strong and a great type which puts strength and most importantly he is consistently producing winners that are fast”.
