Injured Conners discharged from hospital

Friday 26 September 2014, 3:44pm

Clarry Conners has been discharged from hospital a day after he was kicked in the face by a horse at Hawkesbury racecourse.

The four-time Golden Slipper winning trainer suffered fractures to his right eye socket and cheek and also lost a number of teeth in the mounting yard accident.

He was attended by paramedics on course and transported to Nepean Hospital where he underwent scans which revealed the extent of the damage.

Conners has been advised not to fly until his eye socket heals and will be forced to watch on from home when Dear Demi contests the Group Two Stocks Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
