Peter and Paul Snowden know what it takes to win a Caulfield Guineas.

And Paul Snowden says Shooting To Win has as much talent as the two winners of the $1 million race he has been involved with in the past three years.

The father and son team started a training partnership in May and will be chasing the first Group One win for the partnership in Saturday's Guineas (1600m).

Shooting To Win is fourth favourite at $8 with boom colt Rich Enuff the clear-cut $2.70 favourite.

During the time Paul Snowden was Melbourne foreman for his father, who was then head trainer for Sheikh Mohammed's Darley operation, Helmet (2011) and Long John (2013) won the Guineas.

"He's as good as them," Paul Snowden said.

"He's a very, very good worker at home. That's why there's no doubt in our mind he's a genuine Group One horse and hopefully he can win one on Saturday. That would be great."

Snowden is looking after Shooting To Win who travelled from Sydney to Melbourne on Sunday, and acknowledges Rich Enuff is the horse to beat.

The Ken Keys-trained Rich Enuff has been dominant winning the Mitchell McKenzie Stakes, Danehill Stakes and Caulfield Guineas Prelude in Melbourne this campaign.

Shooting To Win finished third in the Group One Golden Rose before winning the Stan Fox Stakes at Rosehill to book a shot at the Guineas.

Snowden is sweating on a good barrier for Shooting To Win at Tuesday's draw in his first Melbourne start around Caulfield.

"If we can draw well it gives us some sort of chance," Snowden said.

"The favourite, Rich Enuff, is obviously a special horse and the way he's been winning, he deserves to be favourite.

"This bloke has got his share of ability and he's earned his spot in the race.

"The form lines he's come through have really held up for the past month or so. He wasn't far away in the Golden Rose and backed it up well the other day (in the Stan Fox)."
