Tabcorp signs co-mingling deal with HK

Wednesday 15 October 2014, 3:09pm

Victorian TAB customers can bet into the huge Hong Kong pools on races at Sha Tin and Happy Valley following agreement for co-mingling between Tabcorp and HKJC Horse Betting Limited.

The co-mingling into pools on the most common bet types, which include win, place, quinella and trifecta, begins with Wednesday night's Sha Tin meeting.

"This makes betting on Hong Kong racing an even more attractive proposition for Victorian TAB customers whose bets will now be co-mingled into Hong Kong's massive pools," Tabcorp's chief operating officer, media and international, Brendan Parnell said.

"This agreement represents an important milestone in the strategic partnership between Tabcorp and The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

"Hong Kong offers massive betting pools and its racing is regarded globally for its high quality.

Tabcorp customers wagered almost $70 million on Hong Kong racing in 2013/14.

The wagering company is also in discussion with HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited to reciprocate the co-mingling arrangements on Australian races.
