The Offer fit to start in Caulfield Cup

The Gai Waterhouse-trained The Offer has been give the all clear to run in the Caulfield Cup but will have another inspection on course on raceday.

The Sydney Cup winner was inspected by Racing Victoria's vet on Friday and stewards said the gelding was passed suitable to race.

Waterhouse reported on Thursday that The Offer was showing signs of lameness to the off-foreleg which prompted the inspection.

The Offer is a $31 chance in Saturday's $3 million Caulfield Cup.

Japanese horse Bande was withdrawn earlier on Friday when he was found to have heat and pain in a tendon.
