Jockey Brad Rawiller is confident Trust In A Gust can continue his march towards another Group One win when he contests the Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley.
The Darren Weir-trained four-year-old has risen to prominence with Group One wins in the Rupert Clarke Stakes and Toorak Handicap.
The Group Two Crystal Mile on Saturday is next on his agenda before the Group One Emirates Stakes at Flemington in two weeks.
No horse has won the Crystal Mile after winning either the Rupert Clarke or Toorak, but few have tried.
Rawiller is convinced the weight-for-age conditions of the Crystal Mile will help Trust In A Gust's cause as he meets the majority of his rivals from the Toorak on better terms.
"Being a dual Group One winner, really it should be in his favour," Rawiller said.
"His form is impeccable. He's a horse that just keeps doing what he has to.
"He's also got Moonee Valley form. So I certainly go into Saturday with a lot of confidence."
Speediness was second to Trust In A Gust last start and he is the only horse from the Toorak to meet the winner better at the weights on Saturday with a 0.5kg turnaround.
Trust In A Gust is the $2.40 favourite ahead of Speediness ($5) and Akavoroun at $7.
They finished first, second and fourth in the Toorak while third-placed Desert Jeuney and sixth-placed Bull Point will also go around in the race.
