Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek has claimed Europe's final Group One race of the year with Epicuris in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud.
Epicuris has now been introduced at 16-1 for the 2015 Epsom Derby after his win in the 2000m race for two-year-olds.
Head-Maarek, who prepares dual Arc winner Treve, says Epicuris is still immature but she is excited about his future.
"He really did something there today because he led, they came to him and then he accelerated away again. He's a very good horse," Head-Maarek told the Racing Post.
"I wasn't worried early in the straight because he never looked beaten. He has come on a lot since his last run and I'll have a good horse on my hands next year.
"He needs to fill out a bit because he is a big horse but at the moment still lightly-made. He'll be a better horse next year and it's fantastic to finish off his season on a good note."
Epicuris was sent to the front from the barriers by Thiery Thulliez, and the further they went, the more apparent it became that Epicuris was not going to surrender his lead.
He was going away again at the line, registering a smooth win as the 9-10 favourite.
