Premier Brisbane trainer Tony Gollan is confident he can provide his biggest owner Troy Schmidt with a rare feat of metropolitan winners on three consecutive Saturdays.
Schmidt and Gollan's three-year-olds Traveston Girl and Looks Like The Cat performed well in the Melbourne spring but in Brisbane the pair have been dominant.
The Schmidt-owned, Gollan-trained Tear It Up won at Doomben two weeks ago and then Whiskey Allround beat stablemate The Storeman at Doomben last week.
Schmidt's River Junction syndicates have about a dozen horses in work with Gollan.
They will have Tear It Up (Kiyomi At Jupiters Handicap) and Amexed (Garrards Horse and Hound Handicap) as genuine chances at the Gold Coast.
Gollan has always been a big fan of Tear It Up who has now won five races and $155,000 in prize money.
"There was a suggestion she would go to stud this year but Troy was happy to race her on for another season," Gollan said.
"I think there are a couple of good races in her."
Amexed, who won the Group Three Rough Habit Plate during the winter, made a nice return when beaten four lengths first-up two weeks ago.
Gollan will make a decision about a Sydney trip for Amexed and Brave Ali after Saturday's race.
"Originally we were talking about a light summer for them. But I have had a closer look at the Sydney summer staying races and there a few races which might suit them," he said.
Brave Ali showed he was up to better company with a win in the Ipswich Cup and Tails Stakes during the winter carnival.
