Boom filly Frequendly will follow a similar path to last year's Magic Millions Classic winner Unencumbered in her quest to win Queensland's richest two-year-old race.
Unbeaten Frequendly makes her return in the Capture The Feeling Handicap at Doomben on Saturday.
Trainer Les Ross makes no secret he believes Frequendly is potentially the best horse he has ever trained.
"I was a bit surprised she didn't win easier at her first start at the Gold Coast," he said.
"On what she had shown us on the track I expected her to win by panels.
"But at her next start at Doomben she won by more than nine lengths and while it was only a small field it showed what she can do."
Ross plans to run Frequendly at Doomben in a fortnight in the lead-in to the Group Three McLachlan Stakes at the Gold Coast on December 27.
"From there we will hopefully go on to the Magic Millions Classic a fortnight later," he said.
"Unencumbered had five starts leading into the Magic Millions with his final lead-up in the McLachlan Stakes.
Ross, who delivered the eulogy at a memorial service for his close friend, the late trainer Des McGee on Monday, is excited about Frequendly.
"But as Des always said with two-year-olds you have them one day and not the next so we won't be getting ahead of ourselves," Ross said.
