Gai Waterhouse saddles up for Bong Bong

Gai Waterhouse is set to become the first Melbourne Cup-winning trainer to add the Bong Bong Cup to her list of achievements.

Waterhouse will run last-start Gosford winner Rochallor in the Bong Bong Cup, the main drawcard race at the annual picnic race meeting.

It is the first time she has had a runner at Bong Bong, a private track near the NSW town of Bowral which only holds one meeting a year.

Rochallor will be ridden by John Nisbet who retired 10 years ago to take up training and only recently made a return to the riding ranks.
