Rising Romance withdrawn from Group 1 BMW

Rising Romance has been scratched from the Group One BMW at Rosehill on Saturday with a foot complaint.

The Caulfield Cup runner-up underwent a vet examination on Thursday after she pulled up with a sore heel following her defeat as favourite in the Epona Stakes last weekend.

Racing NSW vet Craig Suann ruled the mare to be lame in the off foreleg and unfit to take her place in Saturday's $1.5 million race.

It leaves a field of 11 to contest the weight-for-age feature for which Japan's To The World has firmed into $2.30 favouritism.
